ALGWA Queensland Branch is hosting their annual Conference and it is one not to be missed!

The theme for this year's conference is 'Perils and Possibilities (of local government)'

2022 ALGWA National and Queensland State Conference – 1-3 March 2022

It is official, the Queensland Borders are open, and our Whitsunday Conference is on track to be one not to be missed!

ALGWA National and Queensland Branch invite you to join us in Airlie Beach from 1-3 March 2022. This year’s conference theme is Women Connected and Unshaken. The conference MC is Kim Skubris who will also be delivering 2 workshops as part of the program.

The last couple of years have thrown out some challenges. This is the perfect opportunity to take time to reflect, learn and network with your colleagues.

We have put together an inspiring program of engaging speakers who will share their experiences, after all our aim is to support you to be the best you can be.

Notification of the Annual General Meeting and Call for Motions

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association Queensland Branch will be taking place at the Biennial State Conference being held in Ingham from 5-7 September 2018. The AGM will be held on Friday, 7 September 2018 at the TYTO Centre, Ingham commencing at 3.30pm.

You are now invited to submit Motions for Consideration at our Annual General Meeting.

This is an opportunity for you to put forward motions for the meeting to debate. You do not need to have the support of your council/organisation as it is an opportunity for you as a member of ALGWA to put forward any issues that you are passionate about.

When preparing your motion, would you please include background information giving particular attention to all relevant facts and, where appropriate, costings/figures.

It would be appreciated if you could please forward these motions to KarenMurray@logan.qld.gov.au by the closing date of Friday, 17 August 2018. Following the close of motions, an agenda will be prepared and distributed prior to the meeting.
