First elected in 1994, Cr. Judy Peters is currently serving her 7th term as a Councillor for Bundaberg Regional Council.
During this time Judy has held the Community and Arts/Cultural Services Portfolio ‘the people services part of Council’.
Judy was elected ALGWA Queensland President in 2006 -2010 and was awarded Life Member status in 2014. She has been part of the Women in Local Government Strategy Group, LGAQ Social Reference Policy Group, LGAQ Arts Policy Group and contributed to the review of the Disability Parking Permit Scheme for the Transport and Main Roads Department.
Judy has both public and private sector knowledge with both strategic and operational responsibilities for customer satisfaction, stakeholder engagement, business performance and positive outcomes.
Judy holds a Diploma of Local Government, a Diploma of Business, an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management and currently represents Local Government on the Queensland Heritage Council. Creating opportunities for others to achieve their potential is her life-long goal.
